who we are

In the town we grew up in, everybody played an instrument. People got together in other people's garages and basements and played music. That's just how it was.
As we got older, that translated into having about 50 bars within a 10 mile radius that offered live music every weekend. Life was good.
Although this kind of creative atmosphere produced a few famous people (like Brian Setzer, Jerry Seinfeld, and all of those annoying Baldwins...), please don't hold it against us! For the most part we all went on to have jobs and kids and lawns and stuff.
But, we're still here.
Back in those days, telephone numbers had "exchanges". What that means is that the first 3 digits of the number was actually 2 letters and a number. In our case; PY-8. The letters were always the beginning of some cryptic word somebody at the phone company had come up with, like "pyramid". Memorizing those words as young children must have left its mark on us... I mean here's a whole generation of children intoning "PYRAMID 8, PYRAMID 8" like some sort of Egyptian hieroglyphic mantra! It had to have colored our lives, man. It was cool, it was exotic, it was DEFINITELY better than the poor kids across town that had "LINCOLN-1", right?
Today, Pyramid 8 serves as an emblem of that time and place. It reminds us of who we really are by providing us, once again, with a place to play.
